lyrics

I've been walking on this bed of coals for so long that my senses have dulled and I no longer feel a thing
The pain this ritual has cause me leaves me trying in vain to be the same
Suddenly lifted from this mess of sin resting safely on his wings I rise above the situations that leave me wanting something more

There's nothing more that what you offer me
Yet I bind myself dwelling in my own self pity
For every battle I fight and win seems I lose so many more
Lord what can you use me for

I try to tell others of you those who don't know you as I do
A poor reflection of who you want me to be
What good am I no better than they in their eyes blinded by sin
I cannot tell them not to if I am joining in

There's nothing more that what you offer me
Yet I bind myself dwelling in my own self pity
For every battle I fight and win seems I lose so many more
Lord what can you use me for

Lord please restore me renew me again
Release me from this mess of sin that I am tangled in
The same prayer I said last night I recite again
How can I change throughout the day and at night want back in

I'm just a kid but that's my poor excuse my reason for subjecting my soul to this abuse
I wish to stop but know I'll be back again
I can't wait to see your face 'cause then there'll be no sin.
